The HECTOR School Teaching Award rewards university lecturers who excel in their profession not only as outstanding researchers, but also in terms of high quality teaching. The award serves as an indication of the excellent apprenticeship within HECTOR School. The teaching concept at HECTOR School explores a wide range of methodologies which ensure a balance between theoretical knowledge and case-study oriented approaches. It values an interactive and high-yield learning environment and stresses the importance of independent thinking, critical analysis, independent inquiry, and articulateness for an immediate application to the business environment.
The HECTOR School Teaching Award is based on selection criteria and a value system which are communicated to the entire teaching community. On the basis of the evaluations, a ranking of the top five lecturers of the Management Module as well as the top three lecturers of each Master Specific Module is established. The HECTOR School Teaching Award is announced and made public after each intake.
