KIT Campus and Infrastructure
The KIT campus is only a few minutes walk from the HECTOR School campus. Walk along the main shopping street and buy something on the way or take a walk along the castle park. HECTOR School students are KIT students and profit from the wide range of services and infrastructure of the KIT.
The KIT Campus is distributed over several locations. Campus South is located in the heart of the city - close to the HECTOR School Campus. Some of the lectures will be held here. Campus North, the former Forschungszentrum, is located near Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen. In addition, there are several other locations in the Karlsruhe city area and Germany.

The university sports program of the KIT is aimed at students and employees of the KIT cooperation facilities. It offers a wide range of sport programs, groups, and activities. You can join the fitness club, use the indoor swimming pool, or the tennis courts. There are also numerous groups and courses for different sport activities: from acrobatics over various ball sports, to yoga.
The KIT Mensa (dining hall) close to the Adenauerring and about 10 minutes walk away from our campus. The dining hall offers a wide variety of inexpensive food for students and university staff. At the Adenauerring Mensa around 9,000 meals are freshly prepared every day during the lecture period and served on eight different lines. Try, for example, one of the most popular German dishes: Schnitzel with fries and salad.

The KIT library supports students around the clock with over two million books and 28,000 magazines. Focus areas are natural sciences, engineering, and economic sciences. The latest literature is freely accessible in the respective reading rooms. Additionally, the library offers several services via the internet, including online catalogs, subject-specific databases, electronic full texts and multimedia, as well as various document delivery services. The library also offers lots of working areas for students.
"KA-RaceIng e.V." is a university group founded in 2006 at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and participates in one of the largest international design competitions, Formula Student. In Formula Student, racing cars are developed and manufactured by students themselves.
Experience engineered excitementThe KIT is also home to plenty social and cultural clubs that offer many different entertainment over the years. The Arbeitskreis Kunst und Kultur (AKK) is famous for its parties (especially the so called Schlonz’s) or tasty and cheap coffee. The Z10 is a student club similar to the AKK located close to the campus that also offers not only parties but also game nights, workshops and more. All of them are always looking for new members – so check them out and maybe lend a hand to shape the great landscape of Karlsruhe.

The university is home to many different groups nad clubs that welcome any new arrival with open arms. Don’t be shy, contact the group that sparked your interest and dive into the world of camaraderie and innovation!
Meet like minded peopleStudying at KIT, student projects, the working world, leisure activities, events, and much more - the online magazine clicKIT informs students four times a year. Mainly in German but there are occasional articles published in English.

KIT Wissen gives insights behind the scenes and provides information into scientific events with KIT experts. KIT Campus is about the lecture hall as well as about nightlife and residential areas.
