Master Thesis Talk – Innovation First-Hand!

September 16, 2026 12:30 - 13:30online
What does applied research at the Hector School look like in practice?
In our new webinar series “Master Thesis Talk”, our alumnis present their master theses – tackling topics that matter to both industry and society.

How can manufacturers increase recycled material use without compromising cost, quality, or supply resilience?

In her Master Thesis Talk, Laura Alejandra Rojas García (M.Sc. in Production and Operations Management) explores how mathematical optimization can support supplier selection and procurement in circular supply chains—balancing sustainability targets with cost, quality, and supply security.
Her model demonstrates how companies can achieve 60–70% recycled material integration while remaining resilient under changing regulations, supply disruptions, and quality fluctuations.
